Heartland Solutions Corp (of which Heartland Energy is a division) was established in 2007 as a solutions provider for the wireless communications industry. Over the course of the last TEN years, Heartland has developed internal crews to self-perform large construction projects, including the construction of 82 new communication tower sites in 2015 & 2016 alone.
The company is headquartered in Camby, Indiana on 3.5 acres in a 24,000 square foot office / warehouse. Work has been performed in most states east of Kansas, with much of Heartland’s work being geographically located in Indiana and the surrounding states.
Heartland brings the same internal construction forces to the solar industry, utilizing its 70 employee workforce to self-perform mechanical and electrical construction of solar array sites, primarily for utility scale projects. The company has trained operators for pile driving operations, ballasted and pile driven racking installation, module installation and electrical distribution layout and installation.
The company’s experience includes the installation of over 20 MW of solar power over the last two years on sites located from Connecticut to South Dakota. Additionally, Heartland Energy has 4 O&M contracts on major solar fields and continues to provide pull testing services across the Midwest.
Heartland Solutions has also become a center point for safety training. The facility is a regional training hub for CITCA and Com-Train USA for climber and rescue training. With its two indoor and one outdoor towers on site, Heartland has the capability of hosting training events year around. Internal training capabilities include first aid / CPR, OSHA 10 and 30, Crane operator, RF Awareness and climb / rescue certification. The company is a NATE Star Initiative participant and is deeply involved in NWSA, with our Safety Coordinator being a committee member for developing testing guidelines.
