The Occupational Safety and Health Act reflects our common goal of providing safe and healthful working conditions for our employees, customers and the public at large. Safety and health of our employees is the first consideration in the daily operations of Heartland Solutions Corp.

Our Safety program includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Heartland provides all personal protective equipment ensuring that each employee has the appropriate training to inspect and use all equipment. All climbers are provided with Comtrain Basic Tower Safety and Rescue.
  • Heartland performs periodic inspections of all safety equipment.
  • Weekly Safety meetings are held to review current topics for the safety and health of its employees.
  • Tailgate meetings are held daily to discuss on-site conditions and work procedures.
  • All employees are trained in First Aid and CPR procedures by the American Heart Association Standards.
  • We strive to be efficient and effective in every job, but it is impressed upon each employee that their safety and their safe behavior always takes precedence.

Regional training facility for CITCA and ComTrain.


Comtrain was the FIRST to develop a Tower Safety & Rescue Training program and is considered the premier tower safety training company in the industry. Since 1996 Comtrain has provided climbing safety, fall protection, rescue and rigging training for hundreds of companies, government organizations and all US Armed Forces branches around the globe. Comtrain exists to provide the highest level of safety training for all types of structures, industries and occupations. Comtrain is a specialized group of Tower Industry Professionals, Accredited Teachers and Safety Experts.


Heartland is proud to announce our partnership with CITCA – Communications Industry Training and Certification Academy. We have been chosen as a regional training facility, which is one of four training facilities in the country. Heartland has indoor and outdoor towers, which allows training to occur year round. We are very excited about this partnership!

NATE Star Initiative

The National Association of Tower Erectors (NATE) is a non-profit trade association providing a unified voice for tower erection, maintenance and service companies. NATE is headquartered in Watertown, South Dakota with a staff of seven people who administer to the day-to-day operations of the association. As a member driven association, NATE is led by its Board of Directors. These individuals come from all types and sizes of companies located throughout the United States.

Mission Statement

  • To pursue, formulate and adhere to uniform standards of safety to ensure the continued well-being of tower personnel.
  • To educate the general public, applicable government agencies and clients on continued progress toward safer standards within the industry.
  • To keep all members informed of issues relevant to the industry.
  • To provide a unified voice for tower erection, service and maintenance companies.
  • To facilitate effective safety training for the industry.
